Location

It’s easy to find St. Matthew’s. Our building's 212ft spire spears the Perth skyline and decorates heaven knows how many shortbread tins, calanders and postcards (if only we had the copyright….…).

St. Matthew’s is in Tay Street, which is the wonderfully scenic thoroughfare between the centre of Perth and the River Tay. The church is located generally between the Old Smeaton and the new Queen’s Bridges, which span the Tay; and more particularly sited between the Perthshire Advertiser offices and a pub called Weatherspoons. We have well-kept church grounds whose colours are particularly attractive in summer, and newly-laid paths on both sides of the sanctuary.

There is limited parking in St. Matthew’s, which tends to work on a first-come-first-serve-basis, but there is also ample parking in nearby sites behind the High Court; across the river at Kinnoull; and, of course, street-side parking in nearby roads beside and around St. Matthew’s.
